Our Story

BMR Piping & Civil has experienced tremendous growth since its humble beginnings as a backyard idea between colleagues.

Providing honest, reliable HDPE piping and minor civil works, BMR Piping & Civil has rapidly grown into a major HDPE piping service provider across Western Australia’s mining sector.

Relying on a trusted network of suppliers and a tight-knit onsite presence backed by Perth-based management, BMR Piping & Civil has seen tremendous growth on the back of a collaborative approach. After a year of significant growth, our efforts were formally recognised in 2023, being awarded the Runner-Up prize at Rise Business ‘Startup Business Of The Year Award’ in 2023.

Since then, BMR has gone from strength to strength, landing two hotly contested tenders for top-tier mining clients in 2024 along with multiple large-scale Tailings and Dewatering projects.

BMR provides HDPE piping, dewatering and TSF services right across Western Australia, delivering projects safely, efficiently and of the highest quality.

Our Leadership Team

Steven Bowron – Chief Executive Officer

Steve started his career as a boiler maker. His vast experience in Project Management, managing multiple-disciplinary projects in excess of $40 million, combined with a strong sense of leadership led him to organically undertake the role of CEO at BMR.

Innovation and simplicity are at the forefront of Steve’s approach to delivering projects and building client relationships. His business skills led him to successfully deliver large-scale projects for FMG, Rio-Tinto and Anglogold, before making the transition to starting BMR Piping & Civil.

Steve leads by example on a daily basis, managing projects from the front and inspiring everyone around him to tackle problems fairly and efficiently.

Jammie Marsh – Operations Manager

Jammie began his career as a dewatering technician in 2010, learning the industry from the ground up. His intimate knowledge of welding and HDPE piping quickly became apparent, resulting in speed-tracked promotions to Supervisory positions across multiple companies.

Jammie’s experience on the coal face of dewatering and HDPE poly welding is an invaluable asset that allows BMR to provide expert advice throughout each project’s entire life cycle. From pre-feasibility through to onsite execution, Jammie’s expertise is a sought-after asset both internally and externally.

Jammie has naturally transitioned into an ‘off-the-tools’ role, providing high-level onsite supervision, project management and mentorship to younger team members.

Robert Rout – Director

Rob began his career in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, where he carved out an impressive plumbing career before moving to Perth. From both a technical and managerial perspective, The transition allowed him to gather a wealth of knowledge in large commercial-sized projects.
